When Kate Rowe isn't performing solo you'll find her fronting the Troublemakers: John Stuart, Julia Day and Andrew Ireland. These three accomplished performers also embellish the Simplest of Things with clever arrangements and and musical depth.

 

John Stuart
Lead guitar


John studied Composition and arranging at Berklee University in Boston and has forged a career writing music for films and cartoons, and producing albums at Sound Heaven Studios

On the gig front, you’ll find John playing congas with the 9-piece salsa band Babalu, guitar with the Snaketown Rattlers, or, in his more eclectic moments, playing steel guitar with Rachel Hannan’s Little Big Band.

 

 

Julia Day
Drums

Julia is a well-known Sydney drummer who has played with many bands and songwriters over the years, including Tania Bowra, Jacqueline Amidy, Sam Hawksley, Butterfly Nine, Hubris, Sister Madly, Bluehouse, Geoff Achison, Robyne Dunn, Jeff Duff Orchestra, John Moran Corporation and many
more, as well as several television appearances.

Andrew Ireland
Double Bass

Andrew plays double bass primarily with Rachel Hannan's Little Big Band. He also plays with the Snaketown Rattlers and many other bands in the Blue Mountains . He started out in well known Sydney band Andy 500 and now lives at Wentworth Falls.
